Building and Leading communities

I have been designing experiences, building companies with community at their heart and leading community teams for over 15 years; from startup to enterprise.

  • Co-founded Code Club, a community of over 13,000 volunteers teaching 180,000 kids a week to code in after-school clubs in 160 countries. In 2015 I received an MBE for services to technology education.

  • Grew the breadth and depth of the Raspberry Pi Foundation community through innovative partnerships, a prolific volunteer-led localisation scheme and new digital learning tools.

  • Co-founded She Wins - a community of women learning to negotiate successfully and authentically. Clients included Deloitte, Spotify and Sky.

  • Built and led a team of over 25 community practitioners at Multiverse, whilst the apprentice community grew from 1000 to 10,000 in two years. We increased active engagement from 30% to 51% active members and the community is now an integral part of the apprentice experience.

In addition to my community consultancy I am an active angel investor specifically investing in community-driven companies. I mentor the talented founders at Zinc VC, hold a NED role at Unibeez, co-host community pros of London and am currently creating Bunch podcast.
